Second UK café now open at Bond Street development, Chelmsford
The UK’s second Jamaica Blue café is now open at the new Bond Street development, in Chelmsford, and will be sure to delight locals with its sophisticated café dining experience and premium quality food.
Inspired by the famous Jamaican saying ‘Wan wan coco ful baskit’, the new café aims to inspire Chelmsford residents and visitors to take some time out to relax! The café’s name is drawn from the stunning Blue Mountains of Jamaica, one of the best coffee producing regions in the world and home to Jamaica Blue’s exclusive Blue Mountain coffee.
The café restaurant will also offer all day dining, with a wide range of classic breakfast and lunch dishes – all served with a Jamaica Blue twist. The menu boasts everything from eggs benedict with a range of accompaniments (from £7.80), to chicken and mushroom crepes (from £8). Everything on the menu is prepared each day using high quality and fresh ingredients. The café restaurant will offer a take away drink and snack service for those short on time, but who do not want to compromise on the quality of their food.
The new Jamaica Blue store will be well placed in the luxury development with its premium food options and trendy, yet relaxed interior design. The new store channels a hideaway atmosphere and will serve as the ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the busy shops.
Jamaica Blue’s Store Manager, Hamid Qayyum comments: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be opening the second UK store in Chelmsford and the prestigious Bond Street location is just perfect for us. Being at a riverside location also offers a tranquil environment for our customers and we are sure shoppers will love our contemporary interior designs to relax and escape from the busy city centre. Our menu is diverse and we’re confident it will appeal to a variety of tastes. We can’t wait to open our doors and welcome our new customers. What’s more, everyone who purchases a coffee on the opening day will receive a complimentary pineapple-shaped shortbread biscuit.”
The premium coffee is considered to be one of the world’s best, with beans sourced from the Blue Mountains of Jamaica.
The Jamaica Blue brand originates from Australia, where it quickly gained popularity and is now one of Australia’s most loved places to eat. The first UK store opened in Cambridge in December 2014 and there are plans for more stores across the country later this year.
